To provide hope and joy to children diagnosed with cancer, while working tirelessly to raise awareness and funding for DIPG research.

To make the world a better place where children diagnosed with DIPG and other types of cancer are given hope for a future full of health and success, unencumbered by a cancer diagnosis. We do this by spreading Tyler's message of courage, optimism, and undying hope!

The Tyler Hallsey Foundation

Tyler had a dream of making the world a better place. Seven months before he passed away, Tyler told his father that he when he was better he wanted help creating a foundation designed to make the lives of other people better. His father promised him that he would. Tyler is better now, so in fulfilling a promise made, Whatever It Takes: The Tyler Hallsey Foundation, was created to make his dream a reality.

Shortly after Tyler was diagnosed with DIPG he wrote a poem about himself at school called, Gentle But Strong. The final verse reads:

I understand why bad things have to happen sometimes.

I believe that everyone can be happy.

I dream that nobody harmed anybody.

I try to make the world a better place.

I hope I am making a difference.

I am gentle but strong.

Tyler made a difference during his short fifteen years with us, now we strive to make the world a better place by inspiring others, providing hope, and working tireless to find a cure for DIPG.
